We cordially invite you for the final shows of the international course: Performance Art in Theory and Praxis carried out at the Intermedia faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk on 6—17 Jun 2023 within the project „stART in Gdańsk” (SPINAKER – Intensive International Education Program).

The unique program of the course was created for people interested in this medium and provided useful knowledge in the field of theory and history of action art. Particular emphasis was placed on the art of action in Central Europe. These aspects were discussed during lectures and discussions led by dr Anka Leśniak, prof. Łukasz Guzek (Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk), prof. Marina Grzinic (Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna), dr. Lenka Klodova (Faculty of Fine Arts, Brno University of Technology).

Students had the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Gdańsk, as a city that takes an important place in the history of political and social transformations and the strategy of artistic activities. They also had the opportunity to see the works of Polish performance artists: Anna Kalwajtys, Marek Rogulski and Anna Steller.

Above all, the course gave the opportunity to participate in workshops conducted by prof. Tomas Ruller from the University of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Brno University of Technology and dr. Yaryna Shumska from the Academy of Fine Arts in Lviv – international performance art artists and lecturers.

Zapraszamy serdecznie na finałowe pokazy międzynarodowego kursu Performance Art in Theory and Praxis realizowanego w ramach projektu: „stART w Gdańsku” (SPINAKER – Intensywne międzynarodowe programy kształcenia) na kierunku Intermedia Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku w dniach 6—17.06.2023.

Unikatowy program kursu dał osobom zainteresowanym tym medium użyteczną dla nich wiedzę z zakresu teorii i historii sztuki akcji. Szczególny nacisk został położony na sztukę akcji w Europie Środkowej. Aspekty te zostały omówione w wykładach i dyskusjach prowadzonych dr Ankę Leśniak, prof. Łukasza Guzka (Akademia Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku), prof. Marinę Grzinic (Akademia Sztuk Pięknych w Wiedniu), dr Lenkę Klodovą (Wydział Sztuk Pięknych Uniwersytetu Technologicznego w Brnie).

Studentki i studenci mieli możliwość poznania historii i kultury Gdańska jako miasta zajmującego ważne miejsce w historii przemian polityczno-społecznych i strategii działań artystycznych. Mieli również okazję zapoznać się twórczością polskich artystów performance: Anny Kalwajtys, Marka Rogulskiego i Anny Steller.

Przede wszystkim kurs dawał możliwość uczestniczenia w warsztatach prowadzonych przez prof. Tomasa Rullera z Wydziału Sztuk Pięknych Uniwersytetu Technologicznego Brnie oraz dr Yarynę Shumską z Akademii Sztuk Pięknych we Lwowie – międzynarodowych artystów sztuki performance oraz wykładowców.

The project „stART in Gdańsk” is implemented under the program of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange – SPINAKER – Intensive International Education Programs. The program is financed from the non-competition project no. POWR.03.03.00-00-PN16 / 18 „Supporting the institutional capacity of Polish universities through the creation and implementation of international study programs” under the Knowledge Education Development Operational Program.

Projekt „stART w Gdańsku – Intensywne Międzynarodowe Programy Kształcenia na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku” dofinansowano w ramach Programu Operacyjnego Wiedza Edukacja Rozwój, projekt pozakonkursowy pt. „Wsparcie zdolności instytucjonalnej polskich uczelni poprzez tworzenie i realizację międzynarodowych programów studiów” (Działanie: 3.3 Umiędzynarodowienie polskiego szkolnictwa wyższego), określony we wniosku o dofinansowanie projektu nr POWR.03.03.00-00-PN16/18.ze środków Europejskiego Funduszu Społecznego.
